Following weeks of warm summer weather, the annual Tysoe Flower Show and Fete returned to the Playing Fields on Saturday with a packed programme of competitions, displays, music and entertainment.
The marquee once again provided the focal point for the show, with colourful flower entries, carefully grown vegetables, handmade crafts and a wide selection of food and drink competing across the various classes.
Ryan Taylor and Sophie Almond’s dogs won first prizes – Bonnie in best small cross breed, and Luna in the working pedigree prettiest bitch category.
The displays offered plenty for visitors to look at, with the results of months of growing, making and baking brought together under one roof.
Outside, the main ring provided a series of attractions throughout the afternoon. The South Warwickshire Wildfowling and Woodpigeon Club (SWWWC) Gun Dog Display Team demonstrated the skills and training of working dogs, while the Charlbury Morris Dancers brought traditional music and dancing to the programme.
Dog owners were also able to enter their pets in the dog show, providing an opportunity for members of the public to put their four-legged companions forward for judging.
